Do We Have to Talk About The Football!?

After a tumultuous week that saw the start and the demise of the touted European Super League, the boys are back to talk about the actual football! The controversial plans are of course touched upon, but the focus returns to the performances on the pitch and our listeners will be keen to know, the commentary quiz and the weekly theme returns!

No To The European Super League

Despite Arsenal being involved in a game on the weekend, there is really only one topic that can be spoken about on this weeks episode, and that is the European Super League. This episode was recorded just minutes before the whole process started to unravel so some of what is said may no longer be relevant!

We're on Our Way!

After a longer than usual hiatus, the boys are back with another podcast to discuss the Europa League success over Slavia Prague in a week that saw emotions dip following a disappointing 1-1 draw at home, before spirits were raised through the roof with a comprehensive 4-0 away win to cement our place in the semi-finals! Are we on our way to Gdansk?

Confusion

It is exhausting recording these podcasts! One week we’re bouncing off the walls, convinced that we are back on the right track, while the next we are brought crashing back down to Earth with yet another inept performance! This week, we explore the trials and tribulations surrounding the 3-0 defeat at home to Liverpool, before lightening the mood with some wonderful memories of some successful outings against the Reds – including a tale of a rather tenuous link between Tom and David Dein!

International Lull

Due to hectic work schedules and the current International break, the boys return after a slightly extended podcast break to finally discuss the 3-3 draw with West Ham United. Tom shares his true feelings about the international break before finally showing some positivity as the traditional reminiscing of Arsenal goals from years gone by is replaced by a segment on goals scored by Arsenal players whilst on international duty!

North London is Red!

Andrei returns from his week away to bask in the glory of the North London Derby victory, as the boys buoyantly share their respective experiences of a very different derby day experience. The Olympiacos game is discussed briefly, but recording just 24 hours after the NLD meant that focus was very much on that for the majority of the podcast! North London was red, it is red and it will always be red!

The Bros in Red & White

On this very special of The Boys in Red & White Podcast, Tom is joined by a guest close to him as Andrei takes a short break to commit his long-term future to a new home. The disappointing draw at Burnley is discussed, with particular comment on that Granit Xhaka error and the persistent issues surrounding VAR. Finally, the implications of no European football next season is brought up to see the podcast home.

That Winning Feeling

Following on from their miserable ramblings in the post-Benfica podcast last week, Andrei and Tom return to their buoyant best on the back of Arsenal’s 3-1 away at Leicester. There is a is a big Schalke update for all our fans of Sead Kolasinac and Shkodran Mustafi, before the lads reminisce about their favourite goals scored against Leicester City.

Phew!

Recording immediately after the second leg of the Benfica tie, the boys react to the topsy-turvy evening and discuss the wider issues surrounding the 3-2 victory at home in Athens! They also touch on the recent league defeat to Manchester City and raise the issue surrounding Mikel Arteta’s substitutions.

Back to Winning Ways

On this week's episode of the podcast, the boys discuss the exciting set-up deployed by Mikel Arteta in the recent 4-2 win over Leeds United. A Mid-Table Team Doing Mid-Table Things

In this week’s episode, the boys react to the disappointing 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa and discuss the wider issues that come about as a result of that, including the lack of creativity and what it means for Arsenal in both the short and long term. Tom and Andrei then look at previous goals scored at Villa Park to raise the spirits.

You’re a Disgrace if You Get This

A disappointing few days to be following The Arsenal, with a draw against Manchester United followed by a comical loss at Wolves. The boys lighten the mood with their disgraceful commentary quiz knowledge before digging into the nitty gritty of that David Luiz red card. Classic goals are then discussed from the 2011/2012 campaign, a year when RVP reigned supreme!

Oh When the Saints

Following the double header against Southampton, the boys reflect on both games, highlighting some individual performances that really stood out. Martin Odegaard and Mat Ryan are welcomed to the club, before the boys take their weekly trip down memory lane, this week looking at January signings who scored in the year that they signed. Believe me, there are some stories in that that are not to be missed!

We had Özil, Mesut Özil

Alongside the usual recap of the recent fixtures, the boys talk about the upcoming departure of Mesut Özil and what his legacy at Arsenal Football Club will be.
